Yesterday, Carrigan hosted members of the Visiting Scholars Program from the SCSU Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning! Their presentation was titled “What is Autism?” and it allowed for student discussion in which they explored their experiences, perceptions, and understandings of those with ASD, as well as to dispel any myths and answer any questions that students may have had regarding their peers, while also promoting positive interactions within the school community. There was an incredible dialogue between the presenters and the students! The conversations continued into the classroom with many students feeling they gained a better understanding of Autism.
REMINDER | There will be no school tomorrow, Wednesday, October 5th, in observance of Yom Kippur.
