The West Haven Public Schools are participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2024-25 school year, allowing all students at participating schools to receive free breakfast and lunch without requiring household applications. Carrigan staff and students went all out for Halloween this year, dressing up in creative costumes and having a blast celebrating together! From spooky outfits to lots of laughs, it was a fantastic day filled with Halloween spirit.

Today was “Pink Day” at Carrigan School in support of Breast Cancer Awareness! 💕🎗️ Students and staff came together, dressed in pink, to show their support for the fight against breast cancer. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped raise awareness! Together, we raised over $500!

Winter Coat Shopping Nights will be held on November 6th and 7th, from 5-8 PM at Bailey Middle School (106 Morgan Lane). West Haven students can pick up new or gently used coats, and students must be present to receive one. Please see the flyer below for more information.
Cluster C students at Carrigan celebrated the completion of their first reading unit—all about corn—with a day full of corntastic activities on Friday! 🌽📚 From math and science experiments to fun reading exercises, everything centered around corn. The students even enjoyed a friendly game of cornhole! It was a fun and engaging way to wrap up the week and celebrate their learning!

On Wednesday, the EL/ML Department hosted a Multilingual Family Orientation, welcoming 43 new families who speak nine different languages! Families learned about the school schedule, classes, transportation, food services, testing, and more. The event also featured guidance on using PowerSchool and shared resources from the Family Resource Center to support our diverse community. Presentations were offered in Spanish, Arabic, French, Turkish, Vietnamese, Portuguese, and English.
