Scenes from our annual Carrigan Showcase where students proudly shared the work they have created throughout the school year with families and guardians. Guests enjoyed jazz band performances while walking through the school to see student artwork, decorated hallways, and classroom projects on display. It was a great night celebrating the hard work and creativity of our students! 🎷🎨
Last week at Carrigan, we celebrated our Special Area Caring Cougars and recognized this month’s winning clusters, 6th Grade Cluster J and 5th Grade Cluster E. Both clusters also earned pizza parties for winning the most throughout the school year. Lexia and iReady All Stars received gift cards for their academic growth, and students had the chance to spin the Wheel of Perfect Attendance for some great prizes. Great work everyone! 🐾🍕

Last night, West Haven Public Schools held its annual Unsung Hero Award Dinner, bringing the community together to recognize individuals who make a difference each day. From teachers to front office staff to security guards and many more roles, our district is supported by people who care deeply about their work and the students they serve.
Those honored have gone above and beyond in their roles. Their efforts often take place behind the scenes, but they play an important part in keeping our schools running smoothly. While it is always a team effort, this night was set aside to recognize their contributions.

In celebration of National Poetry Month, West Haven Public Schools students were recognized last night at the Land Trust of West Haven “Poet-Tree” Celebration, with winners from Pagels, Seth Haley, Washington, Forest, Mackrille, Carrigan, Bailey, and WHHS. Poems will be displayed along the boardwalk near the bocce courts in the coming weeks. We are incredibly proud of our students 🌿📜
Carrigan hosted its band and chorus assemblies, where students and families enjoyed performances by the 5th grade chorus, 6th grade beginner band, and Black History Celebration singers. Our students showcased their talent and dedication, supported by the guidance of Ms. LaMotta and Mr. Lupoli 🎶
