
Tomorrow is the final day to sign up your 11th grade student to take the SATs on the make-up day of April 9th instead of the March 5th test date due to the observance of Ramadan. To sign up, please fill out the form on PowerSchool under the Parent/Guardian account.

Tomorrow we will celebrate our girls hockey seniors and our boys swimming seniors! Girls hockey senior festivities will kick off at 4:40pm before their 5pm home game against Fairfield. Boys swimming senior festivities will kick off after their 3:45pm meet against East Lyme.

The West Haven High School Criminal Justice Cohort recently took a field to trip to Milford Superior Court. Students observed arraignments, sentencings and the jury selection process. Attorneys from Carter Mario also helped field a variety of questions about civil law topics.


Students in Mrs. Cavallaro's Science and Food class had a presentation this morning from WHHS Media Specialist Jillian Woychowski about urban farming. Students learned about the benefits and challenges of urban farming in West Haven and what ideas they can take forward regarding minimal waste cooking.

West Haven will activate its extreme cold weather protocol Noon on Sunday, 1/19, offering the city's 2 libraries as warming centers during normal daytime hours. The city’s new warming center at 689 Campbell Ave. will also be available. The protocol is expected to end Noon on Thursday 1/23, when Gov. This Sunday, January 5th from 1pm - 4pm a Three Kings Day Celebration will be held at West Haven’s Elks Lodge 1537 (265 Main St., West Haven, CT). This free event presented by Mayor Dorinda Borer, the West Haven Hispanic American of the Year Alumni Committee, and Budget Transmission Center and Car Wash will include photos with the kings, music, refreshments and a toy distribution!
