Bethany Luna
About: I am the Talented and Gifted teacher at Carrigan Intermediate School. I have been teaching for 30 years in West Haven. I have been at Carrigan since 2010 when it became an Intermediate School. Previously, I taught at Thompson, Seth Haley, and Bailey.
Hobbies: I enjoy both reading and listening to books. I love to bake, travel, watch my son play soccer, and spend time with my family. I also love to hike, especially if there are waterfalls along the way!
Fun Facts: I was a paralegal before I became a teacher; I lived in Alaska for four months and worked in a salmon cannery; my mother was 1 of 14 children, so I have a large extended family; I have two sons, one is 20 and an EMT, the other 18 and a freshman at Colby-Sawyer College where he plays soccer and studies Sports Management.
Tom Norton
About: Teaches Physical Education 5th and 6th grade. This is my 4th year teaching and my 3rd year at Carrigan.
Hobbies: My hobbies include playing disc golf, bowling, weightlifting, and chasing my daughter around the year for cardio!
Fun Facts: I have been playing guitar for 15 years and enjoy doing it when I have a free moment; I am pretty good at Madden on the PS4; I try to read the epic poems The Oddyssey and Beowulf at least once a year.
