Grace Malangone-Romano
About: This year marks my 21st year teaching, but my first year in West Haven. I have completed 20 years of teaching in New Haven, serving as a teacher and a literacy coach. I am currently teaching 5th grade humanities at Carrigan.
Hobbies: My hobbies include running, reading, hiking, and cooking.
Fun Facts: I am an avid animal lover and participant in multiple half marathons.

Melissa Deroche
About: I teach 6th grade math and science; this is my 9th year teaching and 1st year at Carrigan!
Hobbies: I like to serve in the community, exercise, dance, read, and spend time with friends.
Fun Facts: I have a passion for helping people with personal finances and financial literacy; outside of work, I am involved with Vertical Church; I have a heart for Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and hope to continue to implement what I have learned to the students I serve. Maybe one day I can also help other WHPS teachers incorporate more SEL into daily teaching and learning.
