The program, which was free for the students and run by Carrigan teachers Leonard Adams, Anne-Marie LaMotta and Tracy Barletta, taught about 40 rising sixth-graders about script-writing, improvisation, character roles, monologues, soliloquies, vocal projection and more. Youngsters also wrote their own skits, worked with older students who were previous participants in the drama program and came back to volunteer, and learned a song from "Alice in Wonderland JR.," which Carrigan's drama club will perform next year.
